Swami Dayananda Saraswati was a renowned Vedic scholar and teacher who dedicated his life to the study and dissemination of the ancient Vedic scriptures. Born in 1824 in a small village in Gujarat, India, Swami Dayananda was named Mul Shankar by his parents. After a series of transformative experiences, he renounced his worldly life at the age of 23 and became a wandering ascetic, taking the name Swami Dayananda Saraswati.

Swami Dayananda's main mission was to spread the knowledge of the Vedas, which he believed to be the ultimate source of truth and wisdom. He travelled extensively throughout India, engaging in debates and discussions with scholars and common people alike, and challenging the prevailing beliefs and practices that had deviated from the true teachings of the Vedas.

Swami Dayananda also wrote extensively, with over 20 books and numerous articles to his credit, including his magnum opus, Satyarth Prakash (The Light of Truth).
